The Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) anticipates that the country’s rice exports will surpass $4 billion this year. This optimistic projection follows a successful year in which Pakistan has already exceeded $3.5 billion in rice exports. A key driver of this growth has been a bumper crop, estimated at nine million tons, of which about five million tons have been exported. Pakistan’s rice, particularly known for its taste and quality, has found robust markets globally, including new opportunities in regions like Mexico, Russia, and the Philippines.
